Dear Hadley-Luzerne School Community,

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome everyone back from the holiday break. It is wonderful to see our students both in-person and virtually, ready to kick off the new year on a positive note. While we hope everyone had a safe, relaxing break, and we are certainly excited to start working with our students in school again.

Moving forward, we continue our promise of providing transparency with our school community, especially in COVID-19 related scenarios.

That being said, the district has learned that over the holiday break, three individuals, two in the elementary, and one in the high school, have tested positive for COVID-19. Fortunately, these individuals were not on campus over the holiday break so there is no risk of exposure. These individuals will have to quarantine and be cleared by the Department of Health before returning to school.

Please note that our goal in sharing this information is to ensure that our district families are always up to date with what is happening in our community. This notification to parents and guardians is part of our commitment to keeping you informed about the spread of COVID-19 cases.

Please feel free to contact your child’s school office if you have any questions.  As always, we will inform you if there are any new cases within our district.

Sincerely,

Beecher T. Baker Sr.,

Superintendent of Schools
